Bright Web Solutions ("BWS", "we", "us" or "our") provides website design, hosting, support and customer portal services. This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit our website, request a preview, become a customer or use the BWS portal.
Who controls your information
Bright Web Solutions is the controller of the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us through the contact page on this website for privacy questions or requests.

- Identity and contact details, such as your name, business name, email address, telephone number and address.
- Project and onboarding information, including services, goals, brand colours, website content, notes and answers you provide.
- Files and assets you upload, such as logos, photographs, documents and other website material.

Why we use your information
- To provide previews, websites, hosting, maintenance, support and the customer portal.
- To create and manage your account, project, selected plan and payment status.
- To communicate about your project, requests, approvals, payments and service updates.
- To process payments, prevent fraud, secure our systems and keep appropriate business records.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory requirements.
- To improve our service where this is compatible with your rights and reasonable expectations.
Our lawful bases
We normally use personal information because it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform our contract with you, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because we have a legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving BWS. Where consent is legally required, such as for non-essential cookies or certain marketing, we will ask for it separately.
Who we share information with
We may share information with trusted providers that help us run BWS, including hosting and cloud providers, Supabase for database and authentication services, Stripe for payments and subscriptions, Vercel for website deployment, email providers and professional advisers. We only share what is reasonably necessary for the relevant service.
International transfers
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above. Active customer and project records are normally retained while the service is provided. We may keep invoices, payment records, contracts and essential correspondence for longer where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention or dispute purposes. Deleted projects and accounts may remain in secure backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict your information, object to certain uses, receive portable data, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Contact us through the contact page to exercise a right.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Children
BWS services are intended for business customers and are not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be published on this page.
